About me
Hi, I’m Sahdiya! I’m a British-Pakistani born in Bradford. I'm one of 6 sisters, number 4 to be precise. I lived in Thailand for 3 years and recently moved back to Yorkshire.
I'm very sociable and I love exploring and learning new hobbies. Having not lived in Bradford since before UnI I'm currently on a mission to rediscover Yorkshire - places to see, things to do and places to eat!
I’m a bit of a perfectionist and once I set my mind to something that's it my mind won't budge from it! Like seriously, I'll get up and make notes at 2am about a cute cafe to go visit or cute crafty things to try with my friends/family or random ideas for my next sewing project!
Sahdiya Educates
I’m a qualified Science teacher specialising in Biology, with 7 years of teaching experience, on a mission to make Science easier to understand and help students study Smarter, not Harder.
I started sharing Study and Science tips during COVID, encouraged by two of my former students, Jessie and Mashoodat. At first, I was hesitant and shy, afraid to show my face, so I posted timelapse videos of me drawing and writing tips instead. I kept thinking, ‘Who will watch these? Will anyone actually learn from them?’ Thanks to their constant support, I gradually gained the confidence to share more. Today, I post Science and Study tips on Instagram, TikTok and Youtube , and create the resources I wish I had when I was at school, being the teacher I wish I’d had myself.
Sahdiya Sews
While living in Bangkok, I went to loads of different markets and was mesmerised by the beautiful fabrics there. I wanted to buy the fabric but didn't know what to do with it so I took some sewing lessons (thanks to @threads_n__stitches) and learnt to sew. I’m still learning and loving it, and now I’m excited to share some of my handmade creations with you too!
